WRENegades
The WRENegades are WREN’s lively group of seniors. Newcomers of all ages are always welcome!
Originally organized in 2012 by Kay Kerr, the WRENegades mission to help seniors have fun and make friends by creating opportunities for learning, going, and doing. WRENegades activities have included field trips, hiking, lunch dates, and more.
This winter, Barb Shuchman spearheaded the push to revitalize the WRENegades program, and organized one free activity per month. We’re happy to report that the WRENegades program is off and running! We’ve enjoyed facilitating these activities that help to counter social isolation and provide community support to the seniors in our community. Thanks to dedicated WRENegades volunteers Barb and Kay, and volunteer activity facilitators Jacki Katzman, Karen Matthews, and Nancy Phillips, we’ve had three wonderful events- a fantastic complement to what the walking and cross-country skiing groups offer. We’re looking forward to the continuation of this program, with activities on the agenda for April, May, and June, and more TBD.
The WRENegades have an expanding activity schedule of free events.
Are you interested in leading an activity for the WRENegades, either at WREN or a different location? Would you like to sponsor refreshments for an activity? Let’s talk about it! Please reach out to Roberta to discuss WRENegades collaborations: robertag@wrenworks.org // 603 869 9736
