The Gallery at WREN presents:
A MOMENT IN TIME | Watercolors by Kate Odell and Cheryl Johnson
On Friday, March 3 from 5-7pm the Gallery at WREN presents the opening reception of A MOMENT IN TIME, a shared exhibit featuring the paintings of two of the region’s most talented watercolorists, Kate Odell and Cheryl Johnson. Odell’s work centers mostly on animals, while Johnson explores scenes from daily life in New Hampshire.
Kate ODell is a watercolorist from Litchfield, NH. She began painting at the age of 50, when life circumstances conspired to allow her to begin on a course of self study for five years, and then a subsequent five years with a renowned watercolorist. Most of her work is done on Aquaboard, a natural clay surface, that gives her work the look of oil paintings. She sells her work at the Local Works Marketplace and online at Big Cartel.
Cheryl Johnson is an award-winning, self-taught watercolorist, who lives in Campton, NH. She works in a remolded small barn behind her house, where she also teaches weekly watercolor classes. Johnson is a signature member of the Vermont Watercolor Society and a member of the New Hampshire Art Association. She is an Associate Member of the National Watercolor Society, American Watercolor Society and New England Watercolor Society. Her work has been featured in many juried, solo and group shows in New Hampshire and Vermont, and has been included in several national exhibitions.
The exhibit is part of the First Friday events in Bethlehem, which include exhibits at 42 Maple Contemporary Art Center. A MOMENT IN TIME is generously sponsored by Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank.
